Part-I (One-Time Registration)

• Read the instructions given in the Notice of the Examination carefully before filling in the Online 'Registration Form' and ‘Application Form’.
• Before proceeding with One-time Registration, keep the following information/documents ready:
  • Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
  • Email ID (to be verified through OTP)
  • Aadhaar Number. If not available, provide one of the following ID Numbers (original document to be shown later):
    • Voter ID Card
    • PAN
    • Passport
    • Driving License
    • School/College ID
    • Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
  • Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing of the Matriculation (10th) Examination
  • Disability Certificate Number, if applicable
• For One-time Registration, click on the ‘Register Now’ link provided in the ‘Login or Register’ Section on the new website of the Commission: https://ssc.gov.in
• The One-time Registration process requires filling in:
  • Personal details
  • Password Creation
  • Additional details
  • Declaration
• For filling in the ‘One-Time Registration Form’, follow the steps:
  • Critical details (Aadhaar Number, Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, etc.) must be entered twice. Any mismatch will not be accepted and shown in red text.
  • S. No. 1: Provide Aadhaar Number
  • S. No. 2: Provide Identification Card number if Aadhaar not given
  • S. No. 3: Enter Name exactly as in Matriculation Certificate. If changed, indicate in S. No. 4a–4b
  • S. No. 5: Select Gender (Male/Female/Transgender)
  • S. No. 6: Enter Date of Birth (as in Matriculation Certificate)
  • S. No. 7: Enter Father’s Name (as in Matriculation Certificate)
  • S. No. 8: Enter Mother’s Name (as in Matriculation Certificate)
  • S. No. 9–11: Provide Matriculation Examination details:
    • Name of Education Board
    • Roll Number
    • Year of Passing
  • S. No. 12: Provide Highest Educational Qualification
  • S. No. 13: Enter Mobile Number (verified via OTP; used for communication and password retrieval)
  • S. No. 14: Enter Email ID (verified via OTP; used for communication and password retrieval)
  • After saving details (S. No. 1–14), confirm mobile and email → Registration Number will be displayed and sent with password to mobile & email.
  • Complete Registration within 14 days, else details will be deleted.
  • Login using Registration Number & auto-generated password → Change password at first login.
  • Re-login with Registration Number & new password → Review/Edit ‘Basic Details’ → Click ‘Next’ to proceed.
  • Additional Details Section:
    • S. No. 1: Provide Category
    • S. No. 2: Provide Nationality
    • S. No. 3: Provide Contact Details (if other than Indian National)
    • S. No. 4: Provide visible Identification Mark (may be checked during Examination)
    • S. No. 5: Provide Disability details & Certification Number (if applicable)
    • S. No. 6–7: Provide Permanent & Present Address (Note: address does not determine domicile)
  • Save the information → Take draft print-out → Review carefully before ‘Final Submit’.
  • Read the ‘Declaration’ → If agreed, click ‘I Agree’.
  • On ‘Final Submit’, OTPs will be sent to mobile & email. Enter one OTP to complete Registration.
  • If Registration is not completed within 14 days after submission of basic info, data will be deleted.
  • After completion, ‘Basic Details’ can be changed.
  • Though you can edit/ modify your One-time Registration data, you must be very cautious while filling in details in the One-time Registration. Wrong/incorrect information may lead to the cancellation of your candidature.

7. YOU ARE AGAIN CAUTIONED THAT NAME, FATHER’S NAME, MOTHER’S NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, AND MATRICULATION EXAMINATION DETAILS SHOULD BE FILLED IN EXACTLY AS RECORDED IN MATRICULATION CERTIFICATE. YOUR CANDIDATURE MAY GET CANCELLED IN CASE OF INCORRECT/ WRONG INFORMATION.
